Meet the Dedicated Team Behind God's Sanctuary


Mrs. Lauretta Shardow

(Founder / Executive Director)

Lauretta Shardow is the visionary founder of God’s Sanctuary, a faith-based organisation dedicated to uplifting the lives of young people and the underserved. With a heart deeply committed to the well-being of orphans and needy children, Lauretta works tirelessly to ensure they receive equal opportunities in education and life. Her calling is to mentor and guide these young souls, helping them discover their potential and leading them toward a life centred on Christ.

Lauretta holds a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Information Technology. Beyond her work in the community, Lauretta has a profound love for music and teaching. She is passionate about making a lasting impact, not just in the lives of those she directly mentors, but in the broader community as well. Through her efforts, she strives to create a legacy of faith, love, and empowerment that will resonate for generations.


Mr. Kwadwo Gyasi

(Founding Member & General Secretary)

Mr. Kwadwo Gyasi is a sanitation engineer with a strong educational background, holding a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation from KNUST, along with an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Currently working with the GAMA Sanitation and Water Project under the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, Mr. Gyasi is dedicated to improving public health and environmental sustainability in urban communities. His commitment to service extends beyond his professional work, as he deeply enjoys engaging with and supporting children, reflecting his strong Christian values. He currently serves as the General Secretary.



Mrs. Vivian A. Baabu 

(Founding Member & Treasurer)

Mrs. Vivian Abena Baabu is a dedicated wife, mother, and a Chartered Accountant with a profound commitment to fostering personal and communal growth. She combines her deep love for God with a strong desire to see individuals mature and flourish in all aspects of their lives.

With a rich background in financial management and a heart for service, Vivian applies her expertise to support God’s Sanctuary in its mission to present Christ to children, help these children develop their talents and in-built abilities and give them hope and meaning to life. In her role at God’s Sanctuary, Vivian is committed to leveraging her skills and experiences to contribute to the organization's goals, ensuring that its mission to seek financial aid for needy children is realized. Vivian is a founding member of God’s Sanctuary and currently serving as the Treasurer.


Ms. Joyce Naa Naki Dowuona

(Program Coordinator) 

Ms. Joyce Naa Naki Dowuona is a Program Officer whose work focuses on facilitating the implementation of policies and strategies related to the environment particularly on Water Sanitation and Hygiene. She agrees with the cliche, Safe Water is Life , Sanitation is Dignity.

She loves to organize , most importantly support to make impact in the lives of people particularly children. She loves children and believes that, every child deserves an opportunity to love and be loved.

Ms Dowuona loves music, cooking and traveling  as well as writing out the beauty of her imaginations. 

God’s Sanctuary has given her the opportunity to share love , ideas and energy to make children smile and appreciate their uniqueness in Christ. Joyce currently serves as the Program Coordinator.
